What exactly is a Private Mushroom Ceremony?
A private mushroom ceremony is an exclusive session where the setting is fully tailored to you as an individual (or together with a partner/friend). Unlike group ceremonies, where the energy is shared among multiple participants, here everything revolves around your personal process. You will be guided by experienced experts who focus their full attention on your safety, comfort, and inner journey.
In the Netherlands, we work legally with psilocybin-containing truffles (sclerotia). These "magical" tubers contain the same active ingredients as magic mushrooms but are legally permitted. During the ceremony, the psilocybin causes a temporary shift in your consciousness. This opens doors to the subconscious, giving you access to insights, emotions, and memories that often remain hidden in everyday life.
For many, choosing a private mushroom ceremony is a conscious choice for safety and depth. It's a gentle yet powerful way to work on themes such as grief, creative blockages, finding meaning, or simply experiencing unity with nature in a protected environment.

A frequently asked question is: Who can participate in a mushroom ceremony? Psilocybin is generally suitable for any mentally healthy adult (21+) who is open to self-exploration. A private mushroom ceremony is particularly suitable for:

Daytime Ceremony
A private ceremony with us is more than just eating the mushrooms. It's a complete experience. From the moment you arrive at our Nature Temple, you'll feel the peace.
We start with a short recap: with a cup of tea we share the most important things to keep in mind.
The ceremony itself takes place in the Nature Temple where a comfortable chair is available, with an eye mask and carefully selected music. The music is the vehicle for your journey; it guides the emotional waves.
The garden that surrounds the Nature Temple with it’s beautiful seats and lush greens is a welcome place to spend time as well. Watching the stars or listening to the birds can enhance your experience even more.
You will receive a measured dose of truffles, tailored to your sensitivity and experience.
The journey lasts an average of 3-5 hours, depending on your dosage. During this time, your guide will be constantly present as a quiet beacon of trust.
After the ceremony, there's time for eating soup and fruits and initial integration.

Note: You are not allowed to drive after the ceremony ends. You'll need to arrange transport yourself (taxi or public transport which stopts in front of the terrain) to bring you to your next destination where you need to rest further.
Extended Ceremony
You are guided by the Masters of Ceremony, eigther Mark or Maya, the founders of the Nature Temple and caretakers of the retreat centre.
Mark & Maya have facilitated ceremony for thousands of people since 2006, collaborating with the indiginous plant medicine shamans. In the video below Mark & Maya speak about the private ceremonies.
If required we pick you up from the nearest train station. When arrived at the Nature Temple we start with a taking the time to get to know each other, we take a break from the hustle and bustle, have a cup of tea, and doing some personal preparations.
The ceremony itself takes place in the Nature Temple where a comfortable bed is made for you, with an eye mask and carefully selected music. The music is the vehicle for your journey; it guides the emotional waves. Often we start the extended ceremony with some live music.
The garden that surrounds the Nature Temple with it’s beautiful seats and lush greens is a welcome place to spend time as well. Watching the stars or listening to the birds can enhance your experience even more.
You will receive a measured dose of truffles, tailored to your sensitivity and experience. The journey lasts an average of 4 to 6 hours. During this time, your guide will be constantly present as a quiet beacon of trust.
After the ceremony, there's time for rest, fruits and soup, and initial integration.
The extended ceremony comes with an overnight stay which gives you space to let everything sink in.
The next morning, there's plenty of time for a healthy breakfast, debriefing and some journaling in the garden. This is how we ensure the insights truly sink in.

Duo Ceremony (or more..)
How about joining together with your best friend, your partner, your sister or father? Every combination is possible in a duo ceremony. Experience together the wonderful moments of joy, truth and heartaches and strenghten your bonds. It can be a heart opening and learnful journey to do a ceremony with someone you love. Celebrate your adventures, work on your habbits, be honest with each other, set your goals, enjoy spending quality time together.
Your guide(s) will make sure everybody is taken care for. Duo ceremonies are possible in a 'daytime' setting but also in an 'extensive ceremony setting'.

Creating memories together
Heroic dosage ceremony
Only people with a certain level of psychedelic experience and health can book this type of ceremony. In most cases a daytime or extended mushroom ceremony provides already the dosage to have a deep experience, enough for most people to explore conciousness.
Sometimes there are personal reasons to aim for a higher dosage. If the circomstances are right we are able to offer that to you as well. This type of ceremony will only be provided in the setting of an 'extended ceremony', so read above what this means. The ceremony will take between 6-8 hours.

Frequently Asked Questions
Cancellation Policy Private Mushroom Ceremonies
Cancellation is only possible by email. Your booking is always personal, you cannot gift it to somebody else.

If you cancel within 7 days before the ceremony starts, a refund is not possible anymore.

If you cancel within 30 days before the ceremony starts, we refund 65% of the total price.

If you cancel within 30+ days before the ceremony starts, you pay 45 euro administration costs.
You can only reschedule 1 time per ticket. Choose a new date within 14 days after your cancellation otherwise you still lose your payment completely. The costs for rescheduling should be paid within 14 days as well, otherwise we consider it to be a cancellation after all. The new date cannot be further than 1 year in the future.

If our organisation has no other option than cancelling the ceremony, we always refund 100% of your ticket.
