A clear guide to choosing the experience that truly fits your journey
Choosing the right psychedelic retreat is not just a practical decision, it is part of your journey itself. At the Nature Temple, we offer different types of psilocybin retreats. Each retreat has its own rhythm, depth, and intention. Understanding these differences will help you choose the experience that truly aligns with where you are in life.

Why choosing the right retreat matters
A psychedelic experience is deeply influenced by set & setting. This means that the structure, duration, and group dynamic of a retreat will directly impact your journey.
Some people need a gentle introduction. Others are ready for deep transformation.
There is no “better” option. Only what fits you at this moment.
Key differences at a glance
Retreat Type | Duration | Ceremonies | Depth | Setting | Best For |
3-Day | 3 days | 1 | Focused | Group max 24 | First-time / exploration |
5-Day | 5 days | 2 | Very deep | Group max 15 | Transformation / integration |
Private | 1 or 2 day(s) | 1 | Very deep or mild | Individual or with friends | Personal / specific work |
2-Day | 2 days | 1 | Group max 24 | Experienced |
Why the type of retreat matters more than you think
A psilocybin journey is not only shaped by the substance, but by everything around it: time, guidance, safety, and integration.
A shorter retreat can open the door.
A longer retreat can help you walk through it.
The key question is not: “Which retreat is best?” But: “What am I ready for right now?”
3-Day Magic Truffle Retreat
A powerful introduction to inner work
A 3-day retreat is often the most accessible way to step into psychedelic work — without compromising on depth.
What actually happens in a 3-day retreat?
Although the time is relatively short, the process is carefully structured:
Day 1: arrival, grounding, intention setting, preparation
Day 2: psilocybin ceremony (guided, safe, held in group setting)
Day 3: integration, reflection, and closing
Even within three days, a lot can unfold. Many participants experience insights that stay with them for years.
What makes this retreat unique?
The power of the 3-day retreat lies in its focus. There is less time to overthink, and more invitation to go directly into the experience. There is also a strong community feeling. For a brief, but intimit period you meet others who are also on their journey.
At the same time, the group field often creates a sense of safety and recognition.
Who is this for?
This retreat is especially suitable if you:
Are relatively new to psilocybin or psychedelic work
Feel a clear question or intention, but are not seeking a long process
Want a meaningful experience within a limited timeframe
If you are already experienced, and you are looking to update your process
Prefer to “first feel it” before going deeper
This is not a “light” experience, but it is a contained and supported entry point.
5-Day Magic Truffle Retreat
Deep transformation and real integration
The 5-day retreat is where the deeper layers begin to open, not only during the ceremony, but also in the days around it.
We've made a video about the ins and outs of a 5 day retreat. This video gives an honest view on what to expect.
What actually happens in a 5-day retreat?
The extended duration allows for a much more gradual and embodied process:
Arrival and preparation (slowing down, landing in the space)
First psilocybin ceremony
Integration + workshops (bodywork, awareness practices, sharing)
Second psilocybin ceremony
Deep integration and personal guidance
This rhythm creates a journey within the journey.
Why two ceremonies matter
The first ceremony often opens the door, showing what is there. The second ceremony allows you to:
Go deeper
Work through layers
Integrate insights on a much more embodied level
This is where real transformation often happens.
In the 5 day retreat we offer 2 types of ceremonies:
The first ceremony is with live music
The second ceremony is with a carefully selected playlist
The role of integration
One of the biggest differences with shorter retreats is the time for integration and connection. You are not just having an experience, you are learning how to work with it, understand it, and bring it into your life. The 5 day retreat gives you many tools to work with afterwards at home during the integration period. This prooved to be very helpful in maintaining long term changes.
Who is this for?
This retreat is especially suitable if you:
Feel ready to go deeper into personal or emotional themes
Want more than just an experience, but you aim actual change
Value guidance, structure, and integration
Are willing to take time for yourself
This retreat asks more from you, but also gives significantly more back.

2-Day Magic Truffle Retreat
A short retreat for more experienced people
The 2-day retreat at the Nature Temple is designed as a compact yet fully guided experience, where safety, preparation, and integration remain central, even within a shorter timeframe.
At the Nature Temple, we do not treat this as a “quick experience,” but as a complete process in a condensed form.
What actually happens in a 2-day retreat?
Even though the retreat is shorter, it still follows the essential structure that defines your work:
Preparation before arrival (we always provide guidelines and intake, but personal preparation is done by yourself at home)
Arrival and opening circle (setting intention, creating safety)
Guided live music psilocybin (magic truffle) ceremony in the Nature Temple
Morning integration and sharing
Participants are supported throughout the entire process by an experienced team, within a carefully held group setting.
What makes this retreat different within your offering?
The main difference is not what happens, but how much time there is around it.
Compared to your longer retreats:
There is less time to slowly land into the space
The group process develops more quickly
Integration is initiated, but continues more after the retreat
Because of this, the experience can feel more direct and concentrated.
Who is this retreat really for?
Based on how you work, this retreat fits best if someone:
Feels a clear call, but has limited time available
Is relatively grounded and able to integrate independently afterwards and can do personal preparations before the retreat starts at home
Has some experience with personal development, meditation, or inner work
Is not looking for a long, in-depth process
When might a longer retreat be a better fit?
This is where your honesty becomes your strength.
A 3- or 5-day retreat may be more suitable if someone:
Feels uncertain or nervous about their first experience
Wants more guidance before, during, and after the ceremony
Is working with deeper emotional or life themes
Values personal coaching
Also values the communual retreat experience
The extra time in longer retreats allows participants to arrive more, go deeper, and integrate more fully.
Private Magic Truffle Retreat
Fully tailored, highly focused, deeply personal
A private retreat is not simply a “more comfortable” version, it is a fundamentally different way of working.
Everything is built around you.
What makes a private retreat different?
Instead of adapting to a group structure, the entire process is tailored:
Personal intake and preparation
One-on-one or small private ceremony
Direct guidance during the journey
Integration fully aligned with your process
This creates a very precise and often deeper level of work.

When is private the better choice?
A private retreat can be more suitable when:
You are working with sensitive or complex personal themes
You prefer privacy over a group setting
You already have experience and want to go deeper
You need flexibility in timing or structure
The depth of personal attention
Because there is no group dynamic, all attention goes to your process. This allows facilitators to respond more directly to what arises in the moment.
For some people, this creates a stronger sense of safety.
For others, the group field is essential.
The role of the group vs. the individual
This is one of the most important (and often overlooked) differences. If you want to read more about this, we also wrote another blog about this specific topic.
In group retreats:
You learn through shared experiences
There is recognition, connection, and collective safety
The group energy can deepen the journey
In private retreats:
Everything is focused on your personal process
There is more space for sensitive or specific themes
The guidance is more direct and tailored
Neither is better, but they are very different experiences.
How to choose what truly fits you
Instead of overthinking, ask yourself honestly:
What is my intention? Curiosity, healing, transformation, or something very specific?
How much space do I want to give this process? A few days can open something. More days can change something.
Do I feel supported by a group, or do I prefer privacy? Your answer to these questions will usually make the choice clear.
If you doubt if a psilocybin retreat is what you need right now, we've created a test to find out if psychedelics are indeed your best option (or not).
A final note on readiness
You don’t need to have everything figured out. But you do need a willingness to be open, honest, and present with what arises. The retreat you choose should feel like a natural next step, not a leap too far.
